1.0 Background the quantity surveying Division

Quantity surveying Division first established on 16 January 2014 in the Klang Municipal Council.  This section is placed under the Office of the President of the Municipal Council of Klang.  The number of employees in this section was a total of 15 people. This Division operates in Office Office Cawagan Building E-Library, Jalan Tengku Kelana, Klang.  This section is divided into 3 main units, namely;

• Direct Procurement Unit
• Units of tenders and quotations
• Project Unit
   

2.0 Objective quantity surveying Division

A.  DIRECT PROCUREMENT UNIT

• Processing applications for Purchase Directly through local order in accordance with the current financial Arrangements.
• Manage the supply of office equipment.
• Ensuring that purchases effected by quality as well as economical.

B. PROCUREMENT TENDERS AND QUOTATIONS UNIT

• Prepare/review of rates and preparation quantity for the acquisition or provision outside the Council.
• Set up/check and confirm to the estimated procurement Council/Department for external provisions.
• Manage the acquisition of quotations and tenders ranging from advertising to the meeting of quotation/Tender/outside.
• Prepare and coordinate the documents for quotation and tender.
• Prepare/present procurement assessment report/external to the Council the provisions of quotation/Tender Committee meeting/Council areas.
• Secretariat of the Committee Meeting Quotation B, quotation and Tender.
• Prepare contract documents for projects that use form PWD 203, 203A, DB/Council T-Tender/outside.
• Ensure that works comply with the Act Financial Event, directing Treasury, Treasury circular letters and the law prescribed

C. UNIT PROJECT

Monitor together with the internal Department of the Council for a final measurement and others on projects (Marris) and projects of the Council.
